anyone know if I can just swap the seats by moving the hardware around? I often see decent pass seats and my driver side is the messed up one.

or even if I just take the covers off, will a pass cover fit a driver seat? I cant really tell by looking if there is some reason that would not work.

You should try it let us know how if it works.

I don't see any reason the covers would be different on a four door (not sure about Sport).

The mounts are different and obviously the handle is different but should mount.I replaced mine with summit racing seats, in my ranger..worth every penny and drastically changed the look of the interior. .

That's an insightful video. Thanks for sharing.

thanks, I just hope I can get it back together. By getting both pass and driver donors though at least if it turns into a massive CF I have lost nothing but the $ used to buy the donors. I was really nervous about pulling my existing seat and then just "hoping" it would work after I stripped of the old bad stuff. my existing is not horrible, but I figured may as well do it since I did find a good set at the yard.

The donor pass side is in really nice shape. Only thing is it has the EB stitched on the head rest. I may for fun try snipping that out of the donor driverside just to see how it looks with it removed. the donor driver side is in not too terrible a shape, but no where near as nice as the passenger side, hence the swap. Geez these is getting wordy, I hope I am being clear (one reason for the video ha).

well I got the bottom done, and I think that was the harder part due to all the wires that had to be routed to the controls on the side of the seat. So next up will be to strip the cover off the passenger side and put on the driver side. I have to look over the foam parts and decide if its even possible to transfer the foam to the driver side frame work for the back of the seat. The existing foam is in good shape so I will prob just use the leather cover from the passenger.

the driver side did get the passenger foam since that was where a lot of the problem was. It turned out very well, will have a video of the completed seat bottom soon. stand by...

Nice work so it can be done. Looks like I may be doing this mod in the future.

What did you pay for the two seats..
