Hey guys I noticed a slow oil leakage under my truck. It's not dripping on the ground but it must just be when the system is under pressure. After noticing this I changed the oil, because I just purchased the truck and thought maybe it was Synthetic oil that was getting through the seals.

Any ideas?

How old is the truck and how many miles?

It is a 2002 Sport Trac 2 wheel drive with 90k miles.

Personally, I would torque up the bolts on the oil pan and where I see the oil collecting, then I would spray it all down with degreaser, rinse it, and watch it for a while, to try to better ascertain where its coming from. It could be because of bolts loosening over time, or maybe you need a seal replaced. I don't think I would have changed types of oil because of it, though. I would monitor the level a little more vigilantly between the next couple of oil changes since the truck in new to you, to be sure its only a minimal lose.
