Would you sell your vehicle thru eBay?

I thought I had my Mountaineer sold, but the prospected had a change in plan...so I was thinking eBay as it has a much broader audience. (especially due to the mods I have)

Yeah do Ebay but just be aware that most of the time, a stock vehicle will get a better price than a "modded" vehicle.

Its not really the fact of selling it for less if theres mods, its just the fact that 8/10 people could care less what the hell is done, as long as it runs and drives.

I cant even count that high as to how many people were "on their way" to come look at my taurus then 3 hours later "oh uh something came up, ill have to look another day"

Im trying to sell my 92 through CL, and im about to just take the HIDs out, the clear diamond cuts up front and all that and sell it seperate cus i honestly think NOONE cares, I had a guy email me about it said something like "i have 2 kids and i have no car right now, i need something asap, and i have no job, will u take 400$"

i replied back...
1. why would you be looking at an explorer if you have no cash/job
2. why would you even ask with that much, i spent that just between the housings/HIDs and the monitor
3. explorers arent hybrids...

There will always be those who flake out - thats just part of selling privately, just like those who will make up any story just to slash off another $50 off the price.

But actually I think 8/10 people do care what has been done to the vehicle and its history. For example, a lifted vehicle means its probably for off road, and when you take it off road, you probably beat up the suspension and the drivetrain. Therefore, most shoppers will opt for the stock vehicle because its drivetrain probably has not seen as much abuse, even if it has a straight body.

Thats how I am about buying, I do care, well maybe more than what I said do, but in michigan its def. 8/10 people DONT care lol.

Even before I really got smart about cars and whatnot, I thought...if its got bigger tires, and lift's and whatnot, then the things probably been beaten.

I want to lower my 95, but I dont want all the extras like the stiff ride, alignment, etc etc.

ANYWAYS back to the REAL thread, I dont think selling through eBay would be bad, its probably gonna get you the most visitors, and the broadest range of buyers.

Make sure your honest, thats the biggest part in my opinion.

I agree. Ebay it is!

Do you still have to pay to post on eBay?

I remember you used to have to pay like 10$ or something for a standard week ad, the longer, the more $$ it was

Made my decision,

FU*K eBay
(:

Lol, if its that confusing, ill stick with my good ol' CraigsList
