So here's the low down.... pushing the brake turns the parking lights, and dash lights on, with lights on third brake light stuck on, left blinker doesn't work, and hazards don't work. So i figured Multifunction Switch..... Didn't solve the problem. So being low on cash i ignored the problem for a while. Now just the other day.... My windows don't go up or down and of course there down... and my dome lights will not turn on and with all the doors closed the "door ajar" light is on.
Someone please help me out here, before i take it to the shop and spend a crap load of money i don't have....

I wish I had an answer for you. But this is tough to diagnose over a forum. I will say this...usually when I see multiple problems like this, it's usually feedback from a bad ground somewhere in the car.

But you could have separate problems too.

You door ajar light may be nothing more than a stuck switch. Common problem.

Good luck...I hope someone else can chime in with some solid advice.

Check the wiring harness that runs down along the drivers door sill. I had similar issues and it was all melted. If it looks fine, I would check out the harness the rest of the way down the truck, and up the passenger side. I bet thats the issue

thanks

thanks for the info guys ill check out the harness and ill check the grounds....

Good place to start! If it's shorted and melted, fix it right. Cut out (or better yet replace) the harness and before you ever put power to it, make sure you KNOW you found the source of the short...or you will get to do it all over again.

Found the problem!!!!

it was the trailer wiring harness underneath the driver side taillight...... the wiring was all corroded and dicked up...... so i fixed it all and all the other issues were resolved.
