I have just bought a 1996 explorer xlt 4-door. I bought some 31/10.5/15s to go on it. I am just going to be driving it on the street (no offroad) and wanted a modest lift for nothing more than looks. I installed some AAL and was hoping to get about 1.5" since the description said I would get 1.5-2.5 of lift. Well, it looks like it has only given me about .5" of lift. I was considering adding shackles, but the warriors are 1.5". Are there any shackles that would give me about 1"?

Welcome To The Forum! The cheap autozone shackles are adjustable.

Thanks Glen! Do you know how adjustable they are? If I put them on the closest hole, what amout of lift would that be?

so get the warriors and drill new holes in them for 1 inch

I honestly don't know how much lift it will give you on the lowest hole, they come with 3 adjustable holes and the highest gives you 1 1/2 inch lift. But you could also do what Corkey mentioned.

or just make your own..

The autozone shackles on the first hole are pretty much stock ride height, then the next one is a inch and the last hole is 2 inches. Which actually turns out to be about 3/4 of an inch and 1 and 3/4 of an inch of lift depending on which hole you use.
I have used these before on my mud trucks and never had a problem with them, but I usually weld a plate of steel to them to tie them together.
