You could just start out with the shackles seeing that they are only about $50. It could be enough for what you want. Some peoples rear leafs end up sagging quite a bit and that is usually what they get the AAL, or they swap out the mono leaf on the sport for a leaf pack from a XLT. I current still run the mono with the AAL on my SOA.
u usually just wanna switch out the mono leaf for a 4dr leaf pack and dif major sag, the aal will fix the sag problem and give u lift...it all dependson how much liift u want usually ppl just do the shackles with the coil spacers, this is the cheapest u can do, or do a TT which is free on any 2nd gen explorers.
