shackles or add a leaf

im gonna do the TT up front and try for 2 inch lift but my question is my 03 sport is 2wd so it doesnt go off road (except for grass...) its my daily and i put about 25 miles a day (when going to work).i want the easyiest one to install. i would think the shackles are easy. will i need new shocks? i want to do this in my driveway and have it take no more than a day. ill have a buddy help me. all i have is hand tools, jacks and jack stands.

I thought anything 02+ had IRS? If I'm wrong then idk.. Shackles are the easiest to install, AAL will stiffen up the ride some and you have to tear into both of your leafs.. so that'll take more time. It depends on experience really, both can be done within a day.

02 doesn't have leaf springs, so you have 1 option, road bully spacers, i would say, he used to sell them on here, but i don't know where he went, ,

He has a Sport so he sill has leaf springs even though it's a '03.

Id rather not do the AAL. where is a good trusted place to get shackles? do they need to be welded in? I would think so imo

Shackles do not get welded in there are a simple bolt on part.

hmm i figured it would act like a hinge and the leafs and axle would swing back and fourth.

The warrior shackles are beefy and considered to be the best but when I had them on my old Explorer they only netted about 1 1/4 in so I had the aal in there to to get about 3in in the back. But that was with sagged out springs so it sat level with a 1 1/2 tt.

well like i said. i dont go off road...2wd FTL!.. well except for messing around in a field on grand parents farm once. I want the off road look alittle. i wannu clear 32's or maybe even 33's. i figured id get about 1.5 out of the TT so i would get shackles accordingly. i figure 3 in lift when all said and done with tires. what are good prices for shackles?

do both AAL and shackles. shackles i only i think look goofy with that big ol long shackle stickin down real low with the leaf spring.

Did 2 doors have the stupid monoleaf in 03? For some reason I don't think they did. If it does get some 4 door leafs.
