I'm probably going to do a torsion twist lift on my '01, but I'm not sure if I want to go with shackles or add a leaf. Anyone out there got some feedback for me?? I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

I'd suggest the shackles, seeing as they give you the right amount of lift to match the torsion bars. An add-a-leaf will only give you .5 - .75 " and a stiffer ride, not that that's always a bad thing.

ummmmm....

Last time i checked you can get add-a-leafs up to three inches. The trick is to order it for a Ranger. I know it works...I had it on my Exploder.

ummmmm....

oops

What would be better? Why not both? Any added benefit with either over the other?
I just found out they want 675sr or $180 for a set of OME add-a-leafs.
I may be wrong but that seems a bit high to me. I was expecting around $75 that seems high but for me here I felt accurate.

Summit Racing (summitracing.com) has them for between $30 and $60 a pair for the add-a leafs

Hey JDraper,
Thanks for the quick reply. It's 12:45 am here. I forget you guys (& Gals) are behind in time. I looked at summit the other day and they were out of stock. Which do you think are better.

I'm not sure, that's why I'm asking people for help. I trust Summit. I have bought TONS of stuff from them for both my souped up Monte Carlo and my truck. If it doesn't fit or do what you want, they will take it back no questions asked. I do almost all my vehicle shopping through them.

JD,
I have the Pro Comp add-a-leaf kit on my Navajo. I'm thinking of getting the shackles next for more articulation. Anyway, the add-a-leaf kit from Summit is $26.99 and provides a good ride. I noticed very minimal stiffness in ride. They flex very well. Because of them I have to extend my E-brake cables. If I flex to much my e-brake comes on! Hope this helps.
