hey guys and gals i was just wondering how much you guys would pay for a shaker hood for 1st gen explorers? reason is that i have a shop around here that says they would build me one, but its going to be pretty costly, so thats why im asking you guys, if it cost to much im just going to try to make one myself

ok well i just walked down to the shop and they said $900, so it looks like im going to build my own, so if anyone is intrested in 1 ill have 1 for sale, because i have another hood just laying around

Someone had posted about an Explorer with a Mach 1 shaker scoop. Supposedly someone already makes the hoods.

really, all that i found where shaker hoods for sport tracs, and 3rd gen sports, i didnt know there where any out for 1st gens, ill have to look harder

i nkow there are cowl hoods for the 89-92 rangers.... those will fit on a 1st gen

This is where "NOTAJP" bought his cowl induction hood from for his Explorer before he sold it.
