Shelby Terlingua GTG in Terlingua, Tx

Well here we go again, Ryckman Motorsports is heading out tomorrow for another adventure.

This time we're off to the Private Shelby Terlingua meet, I'd say it probably more like a huge party.

Were talking fast cars, good eats (chili), beer and assorted alcohol and not sure about anyone else, but we're taking some artillery.

The truck and trailer is all loaded and ready to go, I'll let John Rock fill in that picture, cell phone and internet is probably on the outs seeing as though this is a very remote place in west Texas.

So as much as I can I will keep you all up dated with some pics and video of the happenings as they happen, but I can let you know now I will NOT be able to do the web cam this time, sorry.

Anyways we'll be off early in the morning to start out 8-9 hours jaunt to the border of Texas and the Rio Grande.

It's a great place to sit so that you can get a good look at the engine.

Whatever gets in the way, Elk, Deer, People, Honda's, House's, if it's dumb enough to get in front of it, it gets mowed.

Funny thing is on the last trip (Colorado/Nevada) a lot of people asked the same question, I would figure that in these states and like West, VA you all would understand about Elk, Deer and Cows, and what sort of damage they can do to a vehicle moving at 60-80mph.

I guess what I should add, is that we have the whole airport to ourselves for drag racing-1/4 mile-1/2 mile, psudeo autocross, slalom, baton rally, and we also have a 100 mile police escort cruise at 110-120mph.

Catered dinners, the midnight golf cart debauchery challenge, and just some general mayhem from a bunch of gear heads when you gather them in one place and allow them to play cars.

Yup! here we are in Alpine, Tx, to refuel and noticed the other tire on the same side that blew out two weeks ago is shucking the tread, so we have unloaded the Terlingua which Rick is gonna drive and I'm getting three new trailer tires right now.
