shift interlock?

my 05 mountaineer will go into gear without pressing the brake and with no key. is it the shift interlock? i have been trying to find the part online but no luck. any suggestions?

Try turning the ignition to ON but keep the engine off and then attempt to move the shifter into gear. Make sure your wheels are chocked while doing this and parking brake engaged.
