well heres how it goes. it will run and drive great for about the for 5 miles and then it will just start shifting hard and erratically and also downshifting hard. so i changed the transmission filter, new trans fluid, and transmedic (helps with slipping and hard shifting) still having the same problem. i have also changed the rear differential fluid and my drive shafts all seem to be fine. also when i pull the trans pan there was very minimal metal shavings stuck to the magnet and no gunk and everything looked nice and shiney. anyone know what this problem could be? the motor runs strong with no hesitations either. i am just stuck and dont know what to do now.... would like to fix so i can drive her. winter is approaching. any help would be awesome! incase it matter, shes a 97 eddie bauer with 5.0 auto trans and 204.000 miles.
