Shock Recomendation?

Hi,
I believe I need new shocks for my 92 exploder.
The ones that are on there now are Sensatrac shocks, which I've heard bad things about.
I would like my ride to be a bit more smooth, Currently if i am going to fast and hit a medium size bump, my pioneer cd player will skip.
I've never had that happen with that cd player until I got this truck.
I want to get some new shocks, I can put them on myself, Some of you say its pretty Easy.
Any suggestions on which ones I should look into, and where i can get them at?
I was thinking about some Gabriel ones from www.jcwhitney.com
which are $23.95 a piece which i don't think is to bad, I've heard ok things about them, if any of you have them can you let me know how the ride is please?
Please let me know what you guys think about what ones i should go with.

Hey Jeff...

In what ways do the gabriels make your ride better? Not exactly sure of what better shocks can do...

They are probley the ones I will go with since you say there are good and that they are cheap. But will I see a big difference if i hardly ever go offroading?

The Gabriels vastly improved my on road handling, bump absorbtion, and body roll.
