Signal Light Switch?

So since I bought my 98 Sport, my left signal occasionally (one outta 100) wont come on when I push the arm down. But today driving home I went to turn left and nothing, I pushed down slightly harder and wiggled it and it came on, I let go and it shut off again. The Lights dont flash outside or the green arrow inside doesnt flash either.

If I put the hazards on, all 4 corners of the outside come on and flash like normal, and the 2 green arrows inside flash normally.

Is this a hard/Expensive fix? Any ideas what could be causing it?
