smell inside when running!

ross what is a cut air box, bilstein, and what did you do to update your induction. i noticed it on your mods. by the way my 1st engine is at 223k miles!!!

I took off the the top of the airbox and popped the bottom out of the fender wall. I took a good, sharp 2" hole saw and cut 5 or six holes around the perimeter of the lower half of the box--not the top. Big difference in response now and I get a little more growl with the Dynomax exhaust. Using a K&N filter and am building a homemade induction out of PVC (a few threads on it). Next will be the Granatelli MAF and Edelbrock throttlebody. I'll stop there--unless I have to get a new engine. Bilsteins are monotube shocks (229 a set @shox.com)so they ride stiffer and have better response but many like to keep the twin tubes for a little more comfort on rough roads and city driving.

fuel press regulators run about 60-75 bucks and an hour or so of labor. I get lazy and take mine in for stuff like this. I've gotten dirty enough in my life. Note, when they put the FPR on I also replaced my fuel lines since it was so old. Just PM but I felt worth it. No more gas smell and silky idle. You may want to start with the throttle pos sensor first. Very easy and cheap to replace--be sure to get new gasket for it as well.
