The closest store to me is about 150 miles away, but thats the one it went to. We've got Menards around here, after all this is where it started.

Wow, I definitely didn't check the electrical section, only plumbing. I'll make a run back over there tonight.

I had looked through your snorkel build last night, didn't realize you used 3'' PVC. What fender work did you have to do to get it to work?

I had to t out the antenna mount and the support behind the fender then i cut a 2 inch slit in the fender and wrapped it around the pvc the had to do some bondo work to smooth it out as soon as i get a chance i will take more pics

As an Electrician, I'm always proud when anyone finds another use for electrical material. My CAI on my v8 mountaineer is a "home depot intake". As well as my girlfriends i-5 colorado.

I started mine, Jason. :D

Sweet Andy.

Keep us posted how it goes. I don't think I'm going to end up doing mine this week after all.

I've got a thread going in my elite registry of the removal process so far. But I'm butting horns with my dad right now about the pipe coming out of my "His" fender. Might have to build something along the lines of a removable one.....

They're 15x8" Crager Soft 8's. $40 each from Summit Racing. The center caps are off of the factory rims, they lock right onto the lug nuts.

I'm planning on running 2.5" pipe. I bought a small 2ft piece of 3" and realized it just wasn't going to fit.

as soon as i get paid i am going to get some of those

I've got 'em, too. They're a steal.

I was about to buy a set in a few weeks... I guess I'm still going through explorer withdrawal...

Get another Explorer.

Did you hear something?

Ive pretty much finished up my homemade snorkel. Looks pretty darn good IMO.
Thanks for all the post and info yall (Ive been reading different snorkel threads to get info).

im doing mine soon.. i got the new style arb, but it was a 3.5" opening (3" inside pipe)

we need pics!!

Was that to me?

If so, heres 2 pics. Dont want to jack the thread tho. I still need to do some adjusting and making it look good. Im going to put weatherstripping or something around the fender where I cut it. I used the idea from another member on here.

What is that black accordion-like portion coming out of the airbox in the second pic? What size and where did you get it?
