15x8 they are stock jeep rims that I run on my X

I have always loved my BFG all terrains

i love my duratracs in the snow.

+1 on this. I've been through EPIC snow with my Wrangler Duratracs (I love to find snow drifts and try to get the truck stuck) and they've dug me through everything. Great tires.

If you are looking to get a legit snow tire here are some of my opinions:

Firestone Winterforce - more aggressive snow tire, grips very well but is fairly noisy on the highway, price is pretty reasonable
Michelin X-Ice - this is a very nice tire, grips very well and is much quieter than the firestone, the tread is not as aggressive as the firestone, pretty expensive
General Altimax Arctic - more comparible to the Michelin, grips very well also, coolest looking out of the 3 imo, probably about as quiet as the michelin, cheapest of the 3 if i remember right.

If i had to rank them it would be:
1st - General
2nd - Michelin
3rd - Firestone

I would recommend going to Tirerack.com and using their comparrison tool as well, it is very good.
Hope this helps

Great that what I was lookin for in caught up between the generals and the good year wrangler duratrack

There are no General tires in that size...?

There are no "winter" specific tires, any brand, in that size...?

There are plenty in that size I'm just looking for personal opinion from the experiences of others in the snow

Love my bfg all terrains and I hear the duratracs are pretty awesome

Just found a set of bfg at for a steal so I'm gonna get them after work tomorrow thanks for the help guys

Have nothing but Michelin's on my vehicles. My X has the Michelin LTX M/S and they do fine in rain and snow.

I just stunbled across Bfg ats for $150 w great tread so that'll do for the winter
I've been wanting to try a set out for awhile anyway
