So Cal Desert run after New Years

bad news. i went to Oco for new years and had a little too much fun with my truck haha. i got some damage to the rig. my IAC has been rubbing/vibrating on my cross brace on my engine cage and finally had it. it busted open. im gonna buy some auto fab solid mounts. i also hit the side of a ditch and bent up my skidplate bumper (my lights are all pointed wack now). my engine cage flexes way too much and is hitting stuff so im gonna get the cage tied into a new bumper. and lastly my glass needs trimming. it hits and cracked em so i need to trim that off.

It was a blast though. well worth it. gotta fix all that stuff before i can go out again so im sorry guys im out for this weekend.

Dave, Trent: how you guys gonna let me down...that sucks, but oh well hey '291's..' just so you know the 7th and 8th is saturday and sunday i'm probably not going to get there until friday night and i'm not camping out i have a buddy that lives right on the beach so i'm crashing out at his house, so it sounds like this trip is a dud...and a definate no go...at any rate like i said i already took the dates off so i'm already gonna be up there and like arvin said he lives up there, i'll probably team up with him at least for a couple hours one day anyone else is still welcome to join call us and let us know tho...my number's 909-240-5189 hopefully we see some of you there

Josh- yeah i pretty much rally my explorer every weekend. it aint no street queen. my X has to tell me its had enough sometimes. it happens. you fix it then go out the next weekend. theres always the next weekend.

Dave- ill definately be at the laughlin race with friends. should be fun.

The Truck Haven run is Superbowl weekend and right next to Ocotillo. If you don't like TH, you can always cruise to Oco in like 10-15 minutes.

we'll take pics for sure.... but you guys might get bored looking at just two trucks..LOL..my friend's roomate has a 4x4 taco that he's gonna take into the dunes too, so actually you can look at 3 trucks...man i can't believe i'm the only one driving up tho!

ya we had a pretty good time...the sand was so packed though b/c it had been raining the whole week previous, wasn't too plush, like arvin said the only camera was with his passenger, i forgot mine, but it was fun takin jumps....i sustained a little front end damage from bottoming the front out on the base of a jump, and arvin's friend in the jeep both of his front shocks were leaking bad so he had to kind of take it easy.....but all in all it was cool-sorry about the picture status

ya i have a split my radiator from when i bottomed out, bent my bumper a lil too....i kept wondering how you bottomed out and nothing even happened, then i remembered you're the one w/bumper and skidplate.....so now i have to get the radiator saultered back together, then i'll get a bumper.....dave-so whens the desert trip?? the 14 and 15 is a saturday and sunday right? i might be able to drive out early sunday morning to hang out for the day....keep me posted
