Yeah, something that is only meant to hold lights could be mounted directly to the bumper in the cutout.

Is that really mounted to the license plate!?

i mean for a light it can probably support it, they dont look heavy. maybe over time, idk.

Yeah, they make license plate lightbar mounts, almost nabbed one for the Rado, then just decided to drill and bolt it in since the mounts worked (almost) around the plastic license plate mount in the bumper. But I mean, popular enough, and seem okay for a smaller one. But I wouldn't trust it to hold up taking a beating, would get a legit bull bar or brush guard for that sort of real defense

your defense is only as strong as your weakest point. in this case the license plate mounting is the weakest point. though i do like the tiny bar look, on an otherwise mostly stock appearing vehicle. looks good, but needs a winch bumper :p

Yeah, needs a better defense than that little thing, could maybe use it on the rear as an auxiliary reverse light? Get a nicer bar and guard from the front end? As said, like a winch bumper

imo if you want it to be flush mount it to the bumper not the plate. and is that a bull bar? nt sure if will stop a bull LOL!!!! anyways yeah, not sure how to go about it if you want to keep thr plate mount.
Won't stop anything lol. Thanks for the input. Thinking about trimming the back plastic and putting it behind the bumper.

The weight of the lights and bracket at least double when you hit a good bump. 2 license plate screws ain't gonna work.

I also think someone can steal it easily, leaving you with a tore up bumper

May even be able to mount the pods behind the grille, so that they're hidden but still work

No denying that, can reinforce them a bit, but it's not really worth it.

i thik it would look good flush mounted in the bumper imo

No it's mounted to the plastic bumper. Plates mounted bracket. Looks that way though.

I used bolts/ washers/ lock nuts. But yeah I agree it needs better mounting. I'll mess with it this weekend.
