*wow, I loved vintage mustangs- I nearly bought on on Superbowl Sunday that day Janet Jackson whipped out her booby. I've always had a thing since my neighbors dad had a 67 ragtop growing up. Baby blue with navy canvas. The one I almost bought only needed gauges wired. If I knew then what I know now I would have a sweeeeeeeeeet car.
It's reasons like this that I've typically owned more than one vehicle.
My 94 was always my primary in college, even when I bought a tahoe that was worth 3x as much. The Explorer was my "commuter" vehicle" while my tahoe was for trips and whatnot.
Similarly, I was given a 91 Nissan Sentra for free. Using this to cruise around when I was sanitizing beer lines in college (really, it's an actualy business, I wasn't just going to bars drinking) I offered my best friend to register and insure this vehicle and let me use it. He put it as his primary, turned his 318 BMW into the weekender and by insuring a second vehicle saved $600 a year. This was when we were 22 years old.
Maybe he needs another POS in the fleet to be driving and on special ocassion he gets to take the family Explorer to school or out for the night.
