hello i am thinking about doing a solid axle conversion front and rear on my 95 xlt that i already have the custom 2in. lift from the torsion bars and drop shackles with 31 mud terrains. but i just replaced my tie rods and ball joints and wheel bearings not to long ago and they are allready bad, i need to know what axles i should run and if i would be able to have abs or not which isn't the bigest deal in the world but please let me know of any suggestions and tips.

thanks colin.

You put this in the suggestion box forum? Weird.

I'd run nothing less than rockwells. What size tires are you aiming for?

yup top loaders are your best bet.

Well, I did you a favor and snuck over to your house and swapped in a solid rear axle for you. Did half the work:D

Search SAS and look at people's build threads, there are so many ways to do things, and there is no "right" or "wrong" ways to set it up. Also, don't forget, a solid axle swap is a time consuming, heavily involved project, both with skill, and cash. Make sure you are up for it and have a plan before you start.

Oh yeah, probably want to look at this sub-forum.
