i have a 2000 2wd that i am about to put a solid front axle and have found an old international scout and was wondering if it would work on the swap. I have heard that i need a jeep axle it would be the easiest. :monkey:

How long can you be without your truck?

The Scout D44 pumpkin will be on the wrong side for your swap.
He could go with a t-case with a pass-side drop since he's currently 2wd. Would have to reroute exhaust, etc but it is possible.

Of course he could, but what is going to bolt up to a Ex tranny and be pass drop? It could be done for sure, but it would be a helluva lot easier just to find a more appropriate axle. :D

What condition is the scout in? make that into a trail rig.

it's in pretty bad condition at a salvage yard here where i live but the axles and everything like that are in pretty good condition. the jeep axles are a probably a better idea. the guy who owns the yard is a real good friend of mine. :monkey:
