I was wondering if anyone ever takes into consideration, when putting larger tires, to increase there brake performance. I lifted my 1988 Nissan Pathfinder back in 1996 and noticed that my stopping power was very different. I had gone from stock height to the Trailmaster 4" suspension lift with BFG 32x11.5 ATs, a moderate lift. I was wondering if any of you who just want the cool looks of a tough truck ever consider upgrading your brake system for safety's sake? I'm speaking to the guy's who are on a budget & have no plans to do serious off-road. Yet they want the look of a tough SUV and use their Explorer as a daily driver and sit on the I-5 or I-15 everyday like myself.
