Something went wrong!

Okay so randomly the x wouldn't start then boom it turns over while I'm under the hood and my gf is turning the key. I say good we can get it home. She says..."but its making weird noises". I hear the following and decide I better just get it home then be stuck at the university without a place to sleep.

This morning I played with it some more. It no longer makes all the noise but instead now puffs out white smoke.

Any ideas what my have occurred???

Edit : The clicking and noise you hear is mostly the relays firing all together, the fan turning on and off. Yes the air bag light has been ON not part of the issue, and I am why the radio is off I didn't want some sorta of electrical issue to destroy it.

White smoke? That usually indicates antifreeze/coolant in the combustion chamber, yeah? Could have blown a head gasket...

Ir runs fine now so it must have been some sort of electrical issue and since I drove about 3 miles it added something into the chambers that wasn't burning when it didn't run properly

The radio looks like it was in test mode. Did you put it into that? If not I would suspect an electrical problem.

I had turned my radio off, I suspect an electrical issue because the next day I tore apart the battery terminals and cleaned every single wire and reconnected the battery and it runs fine again. There must have been some sort of problem where the battery wasn't fully connected and the alternator was trying to power everything.

These trucks will freak out if voltage drops low enough, I've seen the gauge cluster act possessed with the gauges sweeping rapidly and stuff.

That's what happened when my alternator was going out. I was like WTF is going on?
