I have a 1999 Ford Explorer Sport.....4 wheel drive....6 cyl. SOHC....

The spark plugs on the passenger side look impossible to replace.....especially the rear plug. It seems that the AC unit is so close as to make it impossible to remove the plug.

Any suggestions on this?

I think I can use a swivel to get to all the plugs except that one plug.

Thanks, Chuck

Remove the passenger tire or turn the steering wheel maximum left to access the #3 plug. Easy.

On my '03 Sport Trac with a 4.0l I got to the rear plug from under the truck.

I took off the wheel and peeled back the shroud.

The plugs were visible and I got the job done.

However........it was a pain getting the frozen boots off.

Also.....the angle on the universal socket was EXTREME!

I had to use a cheater bar to get torque to loosen the plugs.

When the plugs "broke free" ...it sounded like they had actually broken......but they didn't!

Thanks for all the help!
