speed sensor

I put a transfer case from a 98 explorer into my 97 explorer and diddnt realize speed sensors were different is there any way i can wire the sensors to make speedometer work

I'm in the same boat, I'll be swapping the rear housing of the transfer case over because it has the hole to fit the VSS.
There probably a tone ring inside the housing too.

I haven't done it yet because I can't loosen the nut that holds the output flange on.
