It will depend on the type of hubs you have. If you have manual hubs the 4 pin socket used on a dana 44 axle is corrects. If you have the automatic hubs then you need to big nut socket and a pick to pull the key out first. Im on the phone so I cannot get you a url right now BUT IIRC its a 2 3/8" socket.

I can't get the link to work BUT, you did the right search..

I double checked and its a 2 3/8" rounded socket.. KD tools p/n is 2432 (2434 seems to be the same and is on clearance on oreilly). It is a 3/4" drive socket so you will probably need an adapter so your 1/2 drive ratchet can connect to the 3/4 drive socket.

Just remember to pull the key out before trying to remove that nut or you will be buying another nut. . I had to get my replacement nut from the dealer years ago when I forgot about that key.

If you have the auto hubs you can also use a large pair of slip joint pliers
Thats a trick I learned from a Ford master tech

^^
Yup, there ain't much torque on that nut (at least, there isn't supposed to be).

I use a magnet to pull that key out. The 1st time I had the rock the nut a bit to unbind the key.

I did the same on my '92 Explorer auto hubs (Thanks to this forum!). I found my socket at NAPA.

Good Luck
