BTW, the truck handles like a dream now! In corners, it feels like it rides on rails. This is between the TT, tires, and swaybars. There is absolutely zero body lean. The new tires are excellent. Wet traction is amazing, you don't even know the roads are wet. Dry traction is unbelievable. The truck actually handles as well as my father's SLK, we can corner at the same speeds without tire protest. Though, the SLK probably wont flip if you try to U-turn at 60.....

The only thing is I really need those 3.73 gears now, I still have the 3.27s. Soon, soon.

very cool looking, whats that say near the fender by the door?

I told you would like those tires... It looks Really Really good. I see you painted the Hella covers.

Well Gimp, I start my internship at NASA in a few weeks. I'm gonna be writing databases for medical data gathering during the shuttle missions. My official job is to sit at a computer and do that, but I get to assist in astronaut training and medical R&D also. Really cool! I might also assist in Mission Control during shuttle missions.

Medical school starts Fall 2002 (hopefully). I'm still in the application process now.

Kris, the tires do make more noise than my Goodyears, but it's well worth it.

nice explorer. it looks more aggressive.

i bet when people see it, they wonder why your explorer says supercharged...
i know yours really is supercharged, but lots of people put fake decals on their car to make it look like it has performance mods. has anyone ever challenged you to a race?

Yup, many times. Usually I don't take them up on it unless I know I can beat them, and usually I do. However, I'm very wary of "non-track" racing and don't do it much anymore. If anything I'll go from a light up to or a bit over the speed limit.

Beat up any more Porschas lately?

alec, looks awesome! nice job with the "custom" covers on the hellas :)

Looking great bro. Hopefully, one day mine will be able to look about the same, but yours is perfect to model after. I like it a lot. Good work...

Ry Doggy Dogg

P.S. Are warrior shackles the best ones and where do you find them? I checked performance products and carparts.com and neither had them. Strange...

I'd look into getting that done real soon. With all the extra power of the SC and the extra weight of the bigger tires, that has to be a lot of strain on the tranny with a tall gear ratio. The sooner the better if you want your tranny to last.

Zero body lean? Siunds more like my Vette.

The consensus is that the Warrior shackles are some of the best out there. I got them from 4WheelParts. You can call them up to order them or go into one of their stores.

Thanks a lot man...

Now you just need coilovers, extended A-arms, flared fenders, and a 3-link. :D Heh - just kidding. But your truck looks great man.

Shackels

Can you give me the part # and how much did they cost? Did you have to get new shock or bushings? Thanks

Seriously though, Alec - I think you should get a safari bar (like tbomb had, i dunno if he's still got it) and build your truck into a hellacious prerunner. That would be cool.
