i change all of the resistor bulbs in my truck to leds from the interior to the plate lights, and they look nice and pure white....and put some hid in the hi/lo beams , they work awesome...but i have an error from the computer, that tell me the bulbs are damaged...
anybody knows how to clear this...or if i have to put some resistor to cheat the computer...

thanks

its probably saying your bulbs are damaged because the hid lights require less watts to power them, compared to halogen

those aren't HID's, they are LED's.. a little different there.

um he said he put HID's in the headlights

The question is: Is it the HIDs that are causing the light warning or the LED bulbs?

time to start trouble-shooting then! I have no issues from my computer w/ my expy and HID's.

Are you using a relay kit?

sorry...the hid do the error message....not the leds

i saw in other forum , one capacitor can resolve the problem, let me try, ill tell you if this mod work.

thanks

I have the same problem I installed HID in my Explorer and I am getting a message that says RH Headligth, High Beam etc (4 times) How did you fixed this messaging? Thanks

Hid

Is it the headlights the computer is warning you about?
If so check out some hid forums as they may have a better idea as to the resister needed.

I installed HID in my Explorer, the system doesn't use power from the existing ligths as it uses a relay system that goes directly to the battery (Through fuses) the only use of the existinf harness is to get the signal to know if the high or low beams need to be activated. The warning comes siganling that both high and Low Rigth and left are burned (4 warnings). I had the idea to use a relay (which would provide continuity between the negative and the positive) to fool the computer but it didn't work any ideas??
