hey guys so right now my ex is sittin on 6" lift in the front and im guessing around 7 or 8" in the rear as im sprung over with an add a leaf. im running pro comp 35s on craiger 15x8s.

my problem is right now my front is noticeably lower than the back and i really like the height of the back. so i was wondering if theres a cheap way to squeeze like an inch and a half outa the front? also is it safe with those drop brackets?
would it be safe to stack washer that high and weld them? ill post a pic as soon as i get 20 bucks for an elite membership

yea i know about those but i went to my ford dealer and theyre like 60 bucks a pop.. i was also wondering if adding another 1.5" is safe..

thanks

Welded washers would work for around an inch. When I did my spacers, I made them 1.5" tall and I had to come up with a "creative" way of doing a few things so that I could reuse the stock hardware.

Here's the link to my thread if you want to see what I'm talking about.

Also, you don't need a membership to post pictures.

i like that washer idea with the angle grinder nut. i think i might do that. is there any way i can avoid a new alignment? ive had my car aligned so many times with all the lifts.. can i do it myself?

It's possible to do an alignment in the driveway with some basic tools and a lot of patience, but a professional alignment is always recommended. Pretty much any time you change the geometry of the TTB, you're likely to need an alignment. The TTB likes to be as parallel to the ground as possible, so another inch or more of lift is going to change the camber angle, it's just a question of how much.

ha im fully aware of how off the alignment can get im just trying to save a hundred bucks..
also not that this is relevant but when i can i get pics to show up on my post through photo bucket or will it just be a link

and those are my old 31s stacked in the corner

Looks like a lot more than an inch difference, but pics can be deceiving.

Any possibility of taking the AAL out of the rear in conjunction with a spacer to level it out?

the f150 spacers should be pretty cheap, call a few dealers or check the local jy....

alignments not to bad if you understand the basic principles and have some time to kill and patience
ive managed to keep my front inline with 5.5 coils and the spacers, although every truck is different on this one, if you think you can sweak the camber adjustment out of it then you'll be fine...

i know i can fix the camber because the shop did it with 2" rough country coils with no lift brackets it was like a 2.5 degree shim if i can remember right and i id rather not take away lift and i think ill try a junkyard or maybe ill call another dealer but the one around here the parts department is just terrible to deal with. never gotten so much attitude when buying somthing

also when aligning the stearing should i just eye ball it?

Ford discontinued the F150 coil seats, so any dealer that still has any in stock is going to charge you about the same price. I checked 6 Ford dealers within 100 miles and only one had both seats and they wanted $70 per seat which is why I went the "custom" route with mine. If you have the time, junkyarding is your best bet to get some.

im not gonna lie, i di it with a level for camber and a 2x4 for toe...

string will work better though

i have more issues with tire wear from hittin the body then the alignment

ive timmed the fenders more since that pic ill try to get an updated pic on here.

also how exactly do i align the camber and toe with a 2x4 or string?

holy sh$t! that was helpful!! im ganna do the washer thing this weekend and align it myself and post some pics!

also i have a slight wobble could this be due to a miss alignment?
