ST tune on King Ranch

I didn’t see this exact question in search. But I’m assuming the only difference between a ST and the King Ranch for hp numbers is that the ST has a different tune. Has anyone been able to get the dealership to flash their 3.0 ecoboost for the ST programming? I believe it’s just a Ford performance package?

I'd be very surprised if a dealer would do that. It would probably have warranty implications.

That’s why I want to have them do it to save the warranty. I’m upset because the 22 will have the option for a 400 hp model in king ranch.

They would probably require authorization from Ford which in all likelihood they won't get since it would impact sales of the 400 hp model.

Just get an aftermarket tune from a reputable vendor, then you will have more than a stock ST

I for one have a '21 Explorer King Ranch 3.0L Ecoboost w/only 365 hp/380tq. And am trying Mods to increase/surpass ST engine specs !

Mechanically the King Ranch is identical to an ST, it's just detuned from the factory. A simple tune will get you past a stock ST.

"Canned" tune on the way then Don't need much , jus a sense of belonging I feel left out by 1 yr ! SCT 40490 should give at least 55 HP/50TQ ? Please

Me likey My hope is that due to SCT's long standing symmetry with Fords' software , it'll work ? If not there's always the good ol' "perceived performance" My brain tricking Me is undefeated
