Solved Stalling while at idle.

Prefix for threads that contain problems that have been resolved, and there is an answer within the thread.
Sounds like a regular scan tool wouldn't pick this up. Maybe if you drive around and watched the specs.
So just a note to file if these symptoms occur. Another member posted a similar problem, I pointed them to this thread. Hopefully they'll check it out and respond.

I agree, I don't think you can find this with a regular scan tool. I personally use a Bluetooth ODB2 reader and the Torque app on my tablet so I can watch sensor output reatime. Unfortunately the refresh rate on this app/reader was not fast enough for me to see the crank sensor read zero rpm any time other than when the engine had turned off. I was watching my readouts for dozens of stalls and never noticed the RPM reading go to zero before the stall occurred, it just happened too fast. The dealer probably used a scope that has a very high refresh rate and logging capability so they can go back in time and zero in on when the stall occurred and look at what happened in the last second or millisecond before the stall.
