Im tired of the tan and leather in my 96 eddie bauer, so im dying it to light grey with black trim. I'm Using SEM dye in an aerosol can. It isn't cheap but they've been dying interiors for 30 years, so i trust it. Tonight i just did the fusebox door to see how the color takes. Over the next few days i'll be doing more and more of the interior. I'll post pics asap.

Here is what i'm starting with:

Thats not my CEL, its something else, one of the lights that comes on when you put the key to on but the truck isnt running. As for the oil guage needle, yea it likes to shoot way down. My guage clusted doesnt have the needle stop that should be there to keep it from happening :p

Oh and as for how it wears.. Couldnt tell you yet, but scratching at it with my nail doesnt do anything, and thats only after 30 mins of letting it dry. Who knows how long it will hold up. I think it will be quite wear resistant though, and for more then $10/can it better :p

I am new to the site and was woundering if you could repost the pictures or if someone has some pics of dyed seats i am thinking of redying my 00XLT to hide some wear spots and i am also planning on dying the centers of my seats black . Also how has the dye weathered since you did this. Thanks.

pics please!

Apparently i am not the only interested party!

sem is awesome..well worth it in my eyes...your ex should turn out real nice with it looking good

The last time I dyed one (ford f150) was about 15? years ago. I rolled and pleated the headliner, seat, top of dash (ya, I know, it glares bad but so did all the others I did it to), all the rear area and half of the doors.
The remaining door-dash areas I dyed and it was just fine even after 3? years I owned it.
The main part I always worried about was the door kick pannels and they held up as good as the factory tint did.

new to the whole interior paiiting thing, quick question. i painted my interior with krylon fusion paint, but it turned out with a pretty glossy finish. is there a particular paint/dye i can use that isn't glossy, or as glassy with still a decent and durable finish? any pics you may have would be awesome.....thanks

like was said above the company in called SEM great interior paint...or techinally its a dye but it leaves a very oem finish...unless you want something a lil more glossy casue im pretty sure they have some more glossy colors too
