That's correct, I installed the Bulldog starter without alarm, my X have the factory alarm installed, the one that shows "THEFT" in the dash when armed, no transponder key. I can activate/deactivate the theft with my factory remote any time when the car is not running.
Now, the bulldog's key fob, because of the way the module is connected to the locks only acts like the "Lock/Unlock" door button. It locks the doors and activate the alarm only when the doors are open, with the doors closed it only locks the doors and doesn't activates the alarm. I need the bulldog's key fob to behave like my factory key fob, lock/arm - unlock/disarm.
unlock/disarm works ok.
There's an "OEM Alarm Disarm" cable located in the kick panel for the starter module to set the trigger and disarm, I just can't find an "OEM Alarm Arm" cable so I can set a trigger when locking the doors.
Another thing very annoying is that when unlocking the doors with the bulldog's remote, it set the parking lights "On" for one minute, so everytime I unlock and open the door the chime starts to sound until I start the car. Any idea of how to program the starter to change this? I need the lights to flash only and remain Off when unlocking the doors.
