Steering wheel click/rattle noise

Did anyone ever find a definitive solution to this?

I have a 99 and mine was the sway bar link, driver side. The bolts were tight (rusted together) but if I pushed the bolt from the bottom it would move up/down creating my knock. Bushings were shot creating the space for the bolt to travel. Around $20 for an all new link set. Hope this helps
