I'm probably going to run into an answer like "it depends on what factory options you have", but we'll give it a shot.
I have a '99 Mounty 5.0 AWD. It has the factory 8" sub in the rear. Besides the internal amp in the radio itself, do I have factory amps somewhere in the car? If it does, where are they? I'm redoing the stereo system once spring rolls around and bypassing amps in fords can be a real pain depending on the car. My '03 mustang has 3 factory amps (Mach460), and if you don't completely bypass them I don't think the sound is ever quite good enough (I've been running aftermarket head unit with factory amps in it for 2 years and hate it).
I haven't done much digging yet, so I'm just asking what to expect to run into. No matter what I can get it done.
