I have a stock XLT that I am looking at fixing up a little bit for off-roading. I don't want to get to crazy, as I am a student and don't have alot of money. I just got new all-terrain tires and just had a tune up.

What can I do to this w/out lifting it to make it a better off-roader? Any tips you guys have would be awesome! Thanks, Tyler:salute:

The sky is the limit with this crowd.

Ask a more specific question. What kind of terrain are you talking about?

Front and rear locking differentials are a great addition I am told, do you have a factory limited slip rear diff?

Oh, sorry... mostly snow and mud... none of it to serious though. I mostly stay on gravel roads, they just get rough sometimes. I'm assuming the differentials are fatory, as this is still stock. I want locking differentials you say? I'll look into them. Thanks:salute:

You may find the locking diffs can wait until you are no longer a student. I'd say that if your cash flow is similar to mine when i was in school, you're on a tight budget.

Beer isn't getting any cheaper...

What type of tires would be best? I want a semi aggresive tread that I can still get decent mileage with... I am getting 16-18 right now. What about lights? Brush guards? Interior mods?

Added some pics... Give me some ideas, as I am new to this! Thanks!

could I get a mod to move this to the modded 1991-1994 thread? I think it would get more replies there... Sorry for the trouble

Thanks
Tyler
