I do a little street racing now and then with some close friends (and they all beat me) and i'm thinking about getting a performance intake for my car but until I have one a friend suggested that I just remove my stock intake while racing leaving me without an intake only when racing. but when I do this I get a "check engine" light and a "o/d off" light. is it bad to do this while racing? does it increase acceleration and HP? should I do this while racing or not? any help would be appreciated.
