Hey all!
I have a 98 Explorer Sport that I bought as a winter car about 3 or 4 years ago (planned on keeping it just one winter, but it just runs excellent!).
Since I'm going to keep it a couple more seasons at least I was planning to replace the stereo head unit. I tried many a fix to try and get the front display to light up to no avail. I put a Clarion CX-501 in my 2000 F250 and I really like it so I want to put one in my Expy Sport as well.
I want to order it from Crutchfield since they provide you with the adaper kit and wiring harness adapters as well...However, I'm not really sure which stereo system I have from the factory. It's and AM/FM, CD/Cassette player with 2 front speakers, 2 rear speakers, and a 8" ( I think ) subwoofer in the cargo area.
Any help is greatly appreciated !
