Hello again, everyone.
I bought a low miles 96 Limited last year.
It has a stereo system with am/fm, cassette and a multi CD player in the console.
The sound, however, is pretty weak. There are speakers in the front doors and one in the right rear quarter panel that looks like some type of woofer, and one in the rear hatch.
Can anyone enlighten me as to how this all is supposed to function, and where I might find parts to freshen it up.
Also, is there a second outboard amp I should be looking for?
Thank you in advance!

I think the 96 Limited has the amp just forward of the rear woofer in the cargo area.

If it's sounding weak, the first thing I would check is the speaker surrounds. At this age the rubber has probably broken down. You should be able to tell just using a flashlight and looking into the speaker grills.

If the surrounds are bad, I'm a big fan of repairing the speakers over getting new ones. Repairs are cheap and easy.
