stock 99 XLT radio has remotes ?

Does my stock 99 cd/cass stereo from a XLT have any remote lead for a power antenna or amp ? I have a power ant, and would like to use it the right way, also I would like to hook up my sub box. Thanks.

Hi Jeff,

I think your truck most likely does have a remote line lead, though it is different from industry standard. The wire will be blue, and should be the only blue one there.

At this page, there is a small table at the bottom and it shows the pin harness information of each pin from left to right, top to bottom. It's graphic intensive, so just scroll down to the bottom to see it, you don't need to see his pictures:

Lastly, the important thing to note is that the Ford remote line lead activates its own stuff at 5 volts. Most car audio stuff is activated from 12 volts. This means that after you tap into the remote line lead, you'll need a an "LVT" or low voltage trigger to go between the remote line lead splice and your new stuff, such as the antennae and your future amp for your subs. second question - power antenna ?

is there a way to trigger my OEM power ant to go up when the radio is turned on ? Or back down when the radio goes off ? I only know that reversing the current will retract it. What pins to hook it up to ? I did retain my JBL sub box and will hook that up per instructions sent, now just the antenna. Thanks.
