Hi,

we drive a explorer from 1995 and notice that the A/C behaves a little strange. When we hit the throttle full and the engine really has to work the A/C stops blowing from the front and only blows from the front window. When you slow down the air comes back again from the normal locations in the dashboard.
Anyone ever had this experience?

Likely a vaccuum leak in the vent control lines or the vaccuum ball in the fender well. Do a search & you'll find posts with pictures.

There is also a check valve that is supposed to help keep vacuum in the system. If it goes bad when you lose engine vacuum you lose vacuum to control the door for the climate control.

Thank you all for the FAST replies.
Will start working on this.
