Does anyone know of a rear strut upgrade. I use my explorer as a work vehicle and pull alot of trailers and looking for a heavy duty strut replacement.

I would be more concerned about broken coil springs. Have you checked yours? The 02 and I believe 03 models had a bad problem with the rears breaking. I checked mine and found the drivers side broken. Had them replaced and the guy told me the passenger side was broken in 2 or 3 places. It wasn't noticeable until it was removed.
 






thanks I checked out the other posting and yes my coil springs are broke. Like i said pull alot of trailers and have truick loaded with tool all the time need something stronger then stock or oem parts.
 






A good set of OEM Monroe struts paired with a set of heavier coil springs and you'll be fine. That's what I had installed in the rear of mine when I bought it as at the time I was towing a 26' SeaRay and a 24' enclosed car trailer on a regular basis.

Also there's no need to post this again in the modified section.

You can also check out some Rancho's there made for off road trucks, but they do carry a level ride shock for Explorers.
