Took my read driveshaft off to replace u joints and the retaining clips are stuck. Each and every single one of them. I’ve torched it, Beaten it, Picked at it and I’m just about out of ideas. Does anyone know of any way to pop these rusted ****s out?

Never had one so stuck that pliers couldn't nab it myself. Could ya maybe manage to pry it out with a small flathead? Assuming ya probably already tried that, but it's one of the best I got on hand

Soak in brake fluid for a bit. Just a few drops to make them wet, it should penetrate well in just a few minutes

So if anyone has this issue I thought I’d come back and discuss how I fixed this. I soaked the clips in penetrating fluid and then torched it for a very long time. The fluid would end up boiling and making the clips almost just pop off. I used a hammer and screwdriver after it was hot with the fluid boiled into it and with 5 mins of hitting I got a clip off. It’s a tedious process for sure and I’m sure there’s something out there that is easier but for someone who had this issue of the clips genuinely not giving out here’s something for a final resort.
