Bare with me for a minute here. I am an idiot and accidently locked my keys in my truck today with the ignition in on. I noticed after my battery was already drained and couldn't use my keypad to get in the truck. I was lucky enough to have left the sunroof cracked open a little and was able to fish a coat hook through to get the handle.
That fiasco got me to thinking of how often I leave my keys in my truck (I rely on the keypad) and made me question the possibility of running auxiliary battery terminals low on the body in case I need a jump to get the truck unlocked. However, i am worried about water contact if i run it low enough. Has anyone done this or know of a rubber isolated terminal that can still be accessed with standard jumper cables?
