Has anyone ever installed a sunroof in their explorer. A local shop told me I need to purchace a special one due to the ribs in the roof.??? If anyone has done this, could you let me know what size

Never installed one but always thought about doing it to my 92..hopefully both of us can find something out about this

You could just buy a factory one from a junkyard, and if you are brave, self install, but I would buy it and take it to someone.
My '91 has the factory sunroof, and to me its not all that great. I had it tinted awhile ago, it fades the seats bad when parked.
