Hi there,
I recently bought a 2016 Explorer Platinum that has the Sync 2 system. We purchased a Sync 3 screen and APIM second hand and also bought the USB and the GPS module. We installed all of these items.
We went to the Ford website and downloaded the As Built file for my VIN. Then we used ForScan to upload the as built file to the Sync 3. The ForScan threw a message about "not enough blocks for your characters. Would you like to proceed?" We clicked yes and flashed the sync.
A lot of the features seem to be working fine. Android Auto is working well. But now we have a lot of DYCs and a couple features such as tire pressure monitoring are no longer there. Is there something we did wrong or need to do?
Also, I'm now running Sync 3. Should I upgrade to Sync 3.4?
