T-Case Swap on a 92

I just took the transfer case from a friend of mine's 86 Ranger which he is swapping a 302 in and I was wondering if I could swap it with the one I have in my 92 XLT because the 4 low button is going out. Is this possible or is there a way to convert it to manual shift someway?

Your T case does not need to be swapped because the low ranger button is not working.
The shift motor needs to be repaired most likely.

The 86 Ranger T case is a BW 1350
the 92 Explorer is a BW1354

the difference is the front drivesahft yoke, the Explorer style (BW1354) is better, if you use the BW1350 you will want o use teh Ranger front D shaft, and it may not fit, because that 86 Ranger also has a Dana 28 TTB, where you have a D35 TTB in the Explorer.

Bad idea, unless you confirm your T case is shot, but the button controls the shift motor, not the T case.
