I have a base 2013. I have about 34,000 miles on it. Last week the service terrain management code came up. I see from other posts this is fairly common. I cycled the key and the code remained. Tried it a second time and it went away. One thing I have noticed is when I turn tight when it's slippery I get a shuddering that I can feel in the steering wheel. It is not the ABS. It is fine on dry pavement. It feels like an old 4WD system would if you left in 4WD on dry pavement. The torque lock would make the front end shutter.
I haven't been on the forum for a while but I also see the brake pad issue. On my Explorer it was so bad that one time it dragged so much that when I came off the highway it was smoking. Ford replaced the pads, caliper and disc.
