The change: Mobil 1 to Amsoil

I am contemplating changing from Mobil 1 to Amsoil.

I have run Mobil 1 always in the motor ( 61k miles ). Are ther any recommended procedures for the switch? I am not real keen on a motor flush product.

I would not run motor flush through your truck

Since you have used Mobil 1 exclusively, just do a regular oil change with AMSOIL motor oil and filter. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

never flush your motor unless what comes out of t he crankcase looks like tar. No oil company recommends a flush when swithching to their oil. ( I checked with Mobil 1 and Castrol). If you still having those nagging doubts, just change your oil/filter again 1,000 miles after switching before going back to your normal change interval. For my 2 cents, synthetics are better than conventional oils, but are not miracle workers. I would rather run dino and change it 3,000m than synthetic and change it every 10,000. your opinion and mileage may vary and past performance is no guarantee of future performance. A penny saved is a penny..... God somebody stop me!
